We would like to welcome all of our children and families at the beginning of the new school year. It has been really lovely to meet our new families and also welcome back out returning children. Please remember to pick up a copy of our new newsletter, or you can view it in the Newsletter section of the website. We look forward to new, exciting adventures across this year together!
We are really proud and pleased to announce that, following our recent Ofsted inspection on 12th March, we have once again been awarded Outstanding.
This judgement is due to the fantastic work and dedication of our staff team, who work really hard to provide the best education and care for the children. It is also due to the wonderful support we receive from our families. It is lovely to see that the importance of working together, to provide the best start for all of the children, has been recognised.
Please take the time to read our report.
Ofsted will be visiting our school on Tuesday 12th March. Please click the link below to access the Parent letter. This letter gives information on how you can share your views about our school through Parent View.
We would love as many parents as possible to complete the survey.
Children of different ages, including those of nursery age, enjoy using technology. Often they will go online to play games, watch videos or use the internet to find out more about their world.
It is very important that we understand our children’s internet use and ensure that we keep them safe while they are online.
We will be handing out a leaflet that supports safe internet use for children under 5 years old. Please ensure that you pick up a copy or speak to your child’s key person if you do not receive one.

You should have received your Parent Questionnaire, please speak to your child’s key person if you have not had a copy.
Your opinions are really important to us and help us to improve and think about new ideas and ways to work. Please return your completed questionnaire to nursery as soon as possible.
With many thanks.
We celebrated Chinese New Year, the Year of the Pig, across the week of Monday 11th February. We learnt about how people celebrate and tried a range of Chinese food. Together we created a Chinese dragon and took part in a traditional dance.
Other experiences included rice and noodle messy play, painting and drawing Chinese symbols and trying on authentic Chinese costumes.
Following on from children’s interests in mini beasts and animals, we had a visit from Zoolab. An elf named Chelsea told us a story about Santa and his elves visiting countries across the world. She explained that Santa met lots of different creatures while he was on his journey. As Chelsea told us the story, she introduced us to the creatures and we got the chance to hold them or stroke them. This was a fantastic experience where we learnt lots of new facts.
Well done to our children who all sang beautifully at our sing along. You well an truly entertained us! A special well done goes to our youngest two year old children.
Thank you to all of the parents and families who attended. I am sure you will agree it was a fantastic show.
Thank you to all of our parents and families who attended our Christmas craft session, it really was a fantastic turn out!
It was lovely to see adults and children working together to create gifts to take home.
During December all of our children visited the Gala Theatre in Durham to watch ‘Once Upon a Christmas’. The children had a fantastic time watching two of Santa’s elves getting everything ready for Christmas.
